Synopsis:
Can we live on our own terms, free from the world's judgment? Wang Changhai (Bai Jingting), a man of extraordinary ability, returns to his hometown to take up a position at the grassroots level. Blunt and uncompromising from the start, he defies the advice of his seasoned colleague Lao Xia (Wei Xiang), disregards the delicate web of personal connections, and confronts corruption and injustice without flinching. Yet every step forward seems to land him in deeper trouble.
